Maglans Micro-Credit Donates to Obuasi Prison Service in Heartwarming Christmas Gesture
In the true spirit of Christmas, Maglans Micro-Credit, a licensed non-bank financial institution, has extended a warm gesture of compassion to the Obuasi Prison Service through a donation of assorted food and household items to support inmates and officers during the festive season.
The donation included bags of rice, boxes of washing soap, a sack of washing powder, 5kg liquid soap, packs of soft drinks, sachet water, boxes of biscuits, and packs of toilet rolls—items carefully selected to ease daily needs and brighten the celebrations for beneficiaries.
Presenting the items on behalf of the company, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Lanslord Asumakah noted that the initiative reflects Maglans Micro-Credit’s commitment to social responsibility and community upliftment.
“To the men of the Obuasi Prison, we send our heartfelt Christmas greetings. It is our hope that these small gifts will brighten your celebrations and remind you that you are not forgotten. May this season bring peace, strength for the days ahead, and renewed hope for the future,” he said.
Mr. Asumakah reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting communities within its operational areas, particularly institutions that play a vital role in maintaining law, order, and social stability.
The donation was warmly received by officials of the Obuasi Prison Service, led by Chief Superintendent
Bright Dekade, who expressed deep appreciation to Maglans Micro-Credit for the timely intervention. He
described the gesture as a meaningful show of care and solidarity during the Christmas season.
Through this act of generosity, Maglans Micro-Credit has once again demonstrated that beyond providing financial services, it remains committed to touching lives and making a positive social impact within the Obuasi community and beyond.
